Solution to Prevent Fishing Pole Weights from Hitting Vehicle Roof from Wind in Transport

Question:

We got this wonderful rack and my son installed due to wonderful video no problems However,we put out lines and fishing hooks and sinkers on the poles for Salt Water poles...and the down and would bounce all over scratch paint on top of our Honda SUV Touring.. Do you have a LINER for the TOP of the SUV, that would go UNDER the rack and protect the ROOF of the car-from the reels and hooks and sinkers? so we do not have to take sinkers off from bouncing around going down the road? For this tripto late to order so we are cutting a piece of tarp to use but thought for ahead-you might have a sturdy liner to use...that looks decent. Thanks

Since there isn't a pad setup we can recommend to protect the roof of your 2016 Honda CR-V when carrying the fishing poles the best solution we have would be either to take off everything from the line on the fishing pole before travelling or to use a roof mounted cargo box like the Sportrack Horizon part # SR7011. Having the poles in a box would prevent the weights and everything else from making contact with the roof and would also do a better job in general to protect the poles.
