How to Power the Blue Ox Patriot When Flat Towing a 2018 GMC Canyon 4x4

Since you have to perform battery disconnect prior to flat towing GMC Canyon, what powers the Patriot supplemental braking system for the truck if no power to cigarette lighter?

Good question. Since GM requires the battery be disconnected to flat tow your 2018 GMC Canyon you need to add an additional 12 volt outlet that connects directly to the battery. That's what part # RM-9332 is specifically for. I've linked an install video on a Silverado. It's a universal part so the install is basically the same.

We also have a battery disconnect, part # RM-766, which you can use to make disconnecting and reconnecting the battery easier. There's a linked video of this install on a Colorado for you as well.
