Replacement Axle and 5 Spoke Utility Hubs for Older Triple Axle Trailer

Question:

I have an older triple axle deckover equipment trailer that has the Utility 5 spoke drums on it. One of the axles needs to be replaced and I want to replace with another straight beam axle and just buy new 5 spoke utility hubs to fit it so I can reuse my old tire and wheel setupst205/85/14.5 on wedge wheels. Im having a hard time finding out what the dimensions of the new axle need to be to achieve the appropriate width to match the other axles. My spring centers are 74, center of tire to center of tire width is about 87 3/4-88. I know that axles are sized with normal bolt pattern hubs with 0 offset rims. When I look at my wedge wheels, they dont quite appear to be 0 offset but Im unsure.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Axles - 12" - 5 Spoke Utility # 8-174-5UC3 are the only hubs we have with that bolt pattern to fit your wheels. Based on the measurements you gave, you will then use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 89" Long - 6,000 lbs # 8327830. From the sound of where you measured to the center of your tire, any offset if you have one won't be much and will work with this combination.

Then if you have electric brakes, I recommend the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 6K # 23-458-459 or if you have hydraulic brakes # AKFBBRK-7
