Will Reese 5th Wheel Rails Mount to Other Brackets?

Question:

Will Reese Rails bolt to the mounts? Will a set of Reese above bed rails bolt into the under bed mount brackets? Or do I have to buy the kit with Curt rails included? 2002 Chevy Silverado

Reese above bed rails will work with the custom brackets or the universal brackets that attach to your truck frame. We recommend sticking with the same brand brackets and rails for the sake of compatibility, but we know customers have interchanged them without any known issues. When installing the above bed rails like # RP58058 if you have the rails but not the hardware you will need the Replacement Hardware Kit for Fifth Wheel Base Rails - 10 Bolt # RP58430.

If you want custom brackets for rails you already have, then for your 2002 Chevy Silverado I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50064.

If you have the Curt mounting brackets then I recommend the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails - Carbide Black Finish # C16204 and # RP58430 hardware.
