Handles on Ford OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Will Not Close with Pucks on a 2008 Ford F-250/350

Question:

Is the a puck system that would fit my truck that also has the gooseneck ball option?

The factory puck system was not offered on Ford trucks until 2011 so what you have is likely the older Reese Signature Series which is very similar. However, as you have come to find out the old Reese Signature Series pucks are not the same as the new Reese Elite Series pucks which is why you are having issues. Unfortunately, they do not make any adapters or new bolts for this so your best option would be to obtain the Reese Elite Series Underbed Mounting System, part # RP30073. This will then allow you to use your B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package part # BWRVK3300. This is your only option to use the 5th wheel hitch you have now unfortunately.

I do have a way for you to use the above pucks and tow a gooseneck trailer but they do not offer an underbed mounting system for your F-250 with both pucks and a gooseneck hitch ball opening. Instead, you will want to obtain the Reese Elite Series Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # RP30845 which will fit into the same pucks as the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package part # BWRVK3300. This is a great combo that gives you the best of both worlds. The other option you have is to return the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package part # BWRVK3300 and then use the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1108 with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3500-5W but I actually like the Reese Elite option better because it gives you more variety for 5th wheel hitches.
