Recommended LED Light for Interior of Trailer Tongue Tool/Storage Box

Question:

What does the thickness of the metal need to be to hug properly around the grommet? I purchased a trailer tounge box RC manufacturing from you guys and love it, i believe its 14 or 16 gauge but not sure, is this to thin? At night it makes it hard to see inside the box, was going to ground it and splice it into my parking lights so when the parking lights are on the mini bullet light will come on and stay on was wanting to install this inside, but not sure if the thickness of the trailer tounge box is to thin making it not be a snug fit, and if there any was you can verify this? And will this be enough light? Thanks.

The Command LED Bullet Clearance Light # 328-003-183CW will mount fine in a trailer tongue tool or utility box with 14- or 16-gauge material but I have another item to suggest that you might find to be easier to install and also more effective for your application.

The Access LED Light # A80312 is an 18-inch LED strip light that has its own battery power pack that uses 3 AA batteries.
