Question:
How can I get the hitch out of 2014 F350? OEM seems closed from the bottom.

It sounds like the Curt Pop-In Ball part # C60601 has become stuck in the factory gooseneck hitch on your 2014 Ford F-350. If that is the case then the first thing you are going to want to do is spay copious amounts of lube between the collar and hitch ball, around where you think the retention balls would be. Then let this sit for an hour or so or overnight if you can. Then you till want to take a rubber mallet and tap the hitch ball while lifting the release latch to see if you can get the stuck retention balls to break free. They should give way after while but if not just let me know.
Please note that it is not really a good idea to leave the hitch ball inside the coupler while not in use for this exact reason. If you do then you would want to remove it frequently and apply a good amount of grease to the shank, the White Grease Hitch Ball Lube part # 58117. Once you get the old ball removed it might be a good idea to replace it so this does not happen again as there could have been a build-up of rust inside. For this, I recommend the Ball for Reese Elite Series and Factory Ford and Dodge Gooseneck Hitches part # RP19311 as we do not hear many complaints of this hitch ball getting stuck.
