Troubleshooting Right Stop/Turn Circuit Not Active on Trailer

Question:

I bought a trailer from Lowe’s about six months ago and just recently the trailer’s drivers side brake and signal light stopped working. The light itself works but no brake or signal when used. I checked the bulb and replace with a new one. Still doesn’t work. My hitch is a Curt and also the wiring kit. I bought a four way trailer light tester and the fault is not in the Tucson wiring but in the trailer. I am a novice when it comes to wiring so I need help troubleshooting this problem. Need help! thank you...

Sounds like the stop/turn circuit for the driver side on the trailer has a short which is preventing just that circuit from activating. Trace the wiring from the 4-way connector back to the taillight assembly on that side of the trailer and most likely you'll find a cut or exposed circuit that needs to be fixed. I also attached a help article on troubleshooting trailer wiring for you to check out as well.
