MaxxAir Roof Vents for RVs with Thermostats with Manual Lift and Powered Lift

Question:

I plan to buy 2 units. A Powered Remote and Comparable Manual, Non Remote Features and Videos indicate: 1 That the Powered lift can be turned off to allow manual lift or to remain closed to circulate air like a fan 2 All provide Thermostat control 2 Manual lift knob locks in place 3 Claims rain cover will protect against rain even when open Are all these features correct? 4 How is the setting of the thermostat displayed? Is it visually the 2 digit number or do you just keep track of the the number of touches from the preset 78°? I am still undecided on the smoke versus white lid 5 How much is the reduction in light for the smoke lid? Will the smoke lid block out, say, moon light? I believe the comparable none powered, none remote units are the MA00-06200K and MA00-5100K. These are 10 speed, reverse flow and thermostat control Is that correct? I really dont need more than a 3 or 4 speed reversible in this unit. But must have the thermostat. Is there any other unit that I can consider?

You are correct and all of the settings of the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote # MA00-07000K that you mentioned are correct. The powered lift can be turned off to allow you to manually lift the lid, this is thermostatically controlled, and due to the lid design it could be open and vent while raining. This is due to the vents being underneath the lid. I attached a picture that shows what the display looks like for the temperature setting.

The smoked color actually allows more light through since its a translucent color and the white is a solid color that doesn't allow light to pass through. So for the remote applications you'd want the part # MA00-07500K for a smoke lid or the part # MA00-07000K for a white lid. For manual lift you'd want part # MA00-06401K for smoked 4 speed fan or part # MA00A04301K for white lid with 4 speed fan. But these two do not have thermostats so for that you'd have to bump up to the 10 speed fans like # MA00-05100K and # MA00-06200K.
