Will Hitch Installation on 2018 Nissan Leaf Void Vehicle Warranty

Bolting on the EcoHitch 2-inch hitch # 306-X7221 on your 2018 Nissan Leaf will not void your vehicle warranty.

When you install an aftermarket part on your vehicle you are protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. This act states, in part, that unless the installation and the part caused a problem then the warranty cannot be voided. I recommend looking it up online. I sent you a separate link that will help you find a local installer.

The EcoHitch does require some vehicle modifications to install. You'll have to permanently remove the tow hooks and trim the rear fascia to make room for the receiver tube. You can see an example of the installed hitch in the linked photo. The hitch can then be used for a 2-inch hitch accessory such as a hitch cargo carrier.

The online owner's manual I reviewed states on page 9-13 not to tow a trailer with this vehicle.
