Troubleshooting Nev-R-Adjust Trailer Brakes that Are Getting Weaker Over Time
Question:
as brakes get older will they need adjusting my trailer feels as if brakes are not hitting as well as they should my brake box is set st max should i manually adjust all4 brakes

If your brakes are Nev-R-Adjust brakes the adjustment should always be correct so if yours are getting weak over time it would be from something else. It's possible the pads are worn out which is causing the weaker performance but you'll want to inspect them to see if there's any obvious signs of an issue. You can also have a friend grab the manual override of the brake while you listen to each of them to see if you can hear them humming which indicates they are operating.
I suspect it's either a blown grease seal leaking grease in the hubs which is weakening the performance or you have pads worn out. But it's also possible your magnets are bad. I attached a link to a page that details how to test them.
