Can Trailer be Backed Up With Curt MV Weight Distribution System Installed
Question:
A lot of the weight distribution hitches say they allow or do not allow back up. Does this one allow me to back up into a camp site?

The Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17052 does allow you to back up, however it doesn't include sway control with it. To add that you would need a friction sway control unit like the Curt # 17200 but by adding this you wouldn't be able to back up without initially disconnecting the friction sway control.
If you are looking for a chain style weight distribution (WD) system then we have the Blue Ox SwayPro # BXW1006 which integrates the anti-sway so you don't have to worry about adding a friction sway control system. Please note that if you go with the Curt or the Blue Ox you need a hitch ball like the 2" # 40038 or the 2-5/16" C40030.
For a cost-effective system that does include anti-sway and gives you the ability to back up we have the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA94-00-1061. This comes with a 2-5/16" hitch ball already installed so you don't need to worry about purchasing one separately like you do with the systems mentioned above.
I have attached some review videos of all of these systems so you can look at them in more detail.
