Check Valve for Water Heater with 1/2 Inch Male MPT Fittings
Question:
hello. I need to replace my water heater check valve. the two ends are male , but are different sizes: 1/2 in connects to water line and 5/8 in connects to tank. everything I see is a double 1/2 in. Any ideas? thanks,

The best option we have for you is to use the Valterra Check Valve part # P23415LFVP and then go to a local hardware store to look for a 1/2" to 5/8" adapter as we do not carry a check valve with both 1/2" MPT and 5/8" MPT fittings. These are pretty common through so I don't think you will have any issue finding one. In order to join the fittings together you will also want to use the Valterra PTFE Thread Seal Tape part # A05-0265.
