Preventative maintenance Should I use any type of lubricant on the the friction pads?

The Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200 does not require any lubricant on the friction pads. Using anything on the pads or bar that touches the pads can actually cause more of an issue. The only thing you can use if you just want to keep it clean and functional is brake cleaner as that won't leave any residue while dissolving any grime.
