What is the Best Tire Pressure to Use in a Trailer Tire
Question:
Les Schwab replaced two tires on my RV. the tire says 80PSI, but the tect man put in 70 pSI and said that is what they always do. A Machantic told me always put in a little more than list on side wall. He said an over inflated tire is OK but a under inflated tire will kill you. Do you agree or say just the listed pressure

Expert Reply:
I would strongly recommend you put in the maximum tire pressure listed on your trailer tires. Any more or less will cause ride and tire wear issues, as well as cause heat build up and lower your tire pressure.
