Sidewinder Recommendation for Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with a 2005 Ford F150 with 5.5 ft Bed

have a 2005 f-150 5.4 liter, supercrew with 5.5 ft. bed. wanted to know if a 5th wheel can be safely towed, what type of hitch is recommened. how heavy the 5th wheel can be? thanks, looks like the sidewinder is built for this type of truck?

You are correct, for bed lengths that are shorter than 6 feet you will want to use a Sidewinder in conjunction with a fifth wheel hitch on your 2005 F-150 5.4 liter SuperCrew with a 5.5 ft bed.
I attached an FAQ on Sidewinders for you to check, but once you have the correct Sidewinder installed on your fifth wheel trailer you would be good to pull it with your F-150.
Sidewinders are pin box specific, so you will need to know the pin box model you have and then reference the chart in the FAQ I attached to see which Sidewinder you will need.
Once you have a Sidewinder you will be able to use the Reese 5th Wheel Hitch # RP30047 that you referenced. First you will need a rail kit though, for that I recommend a Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # RP50081-58. I attached installation instructions and an installation video for this product for you to check out also.
