How to Install the ZCI Wiring Harness on a 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack with Multiplex Wiring

Question:

I bought this because I didnt want to splice wires. My car uses PWM and everything is one wire. However it seems that this product requires me to attach to a an additional wire for the tail lights either the upper brake or license plate light which is kind of a pain to get to. Is there a work-around for this? Would the Curt branded splice kit be a better option? It looks like I could stick to splicing into the tail lights. Id rather not pull apart my hatchback door just to tap an additional wire. Thanks

In regards to installing the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 119250KIT on your 2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack, you may need to attach the wire connector with the brown sticker to the rear license plate illumination circuit and the wire connector with the red sticker to the center high stop light if the stop position and tail lights pins inside the trailer connector on the above harness do not work after installing the wire connector with a yellow sticker on the brake/tail/left turn circuit and the wire connector with the green sticker on the brake/tail/right turn circuit. Unfortunately, I do not have any workarounds for this.

The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236 would only attach to the brake/tail/left turn circuit wire and the brake/tail/right turn circuit wire but would require splicing so this is not what I recommend.
