Are Multiple Surge Protectors Necessary
Question:
I have a built-in surge protector on my 5th wheel. Camping buddies are insisting that I also need to add a second one like a Progressive EMS at the power source. Since I already have surge protection why would I need a second one? I think they’re wrong. I could use your advice. Thank you

Multiple surge protectors such as the Camco RV Power Defender Voltage Protector # CAM55301 are not needed. Though we do not carry the Progressive protectors, if you are using a voltage protector like the # CAM55301 for 30 amp or # CAM55306 for 50 amp then there is no reason to add another protector.
