However, according to my research the Reese 15K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch 30046 is a fixed 5th wheel hitch and since you have a short bed truck, you will need to use a sliding hitch to obtain sufficient clearance for sharp, 90 degree turns unless you are also using a rotating pin box or your trailer has a tapered nose. If that is not the case then you can reuse the hitch head you have now but you will need to replace the base with the Reese Square Tube Slider for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30048.
