There are a couple things to consider when placing your axle or axles for trailer tongue weight. You want to make sure your axle is not going to be overloaded by the weight and that your trailer will still be balanced when loaded but not connected to your hitch.
I've attached an article to help with the trailer axle location using an equation to assist. You want 10-15% of your total trailer weight on the tongue, with boat trailers normally being on the lighter end of that scale.
If your trailer tongue weight remains too high or the pivoting point of your trailer would be an issue with placement, then you may want to consider adding a second axle if you currently have a single axle. I've linked the page to all our suspension kits to help. Let me know if you need additional help.
If end up still needing weight distribution for your vehicle and trailer, you may need the Pole-Tongue Adapter for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ95-01-5950 which will pair with an appropriately rated system like # EQ37100ET for example.
