How to Wire Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock For Power Locks on 2017 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I am having serious problems wiring Pop and Lock. Using both your youtube instructions very helpful and PandL written instructions virtually useless. Need to see an illustration of the termination block on drivers side, under dash. The instructions say to use the yellowinch there are three and redinch there are two wires to connect the green and blue wire from the PandL. The PandL instructions dont even tell you which of these wires is close or open. Any help would be appreciated, but a picture would be best:

I can help you find the wires that attach to the Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock for your 2017 Honda Ridgeline. From your photo, it appears you are looking in the correct spot for the lock wire (red) and the unlock wire (yellow). The Kick panel near the fuse box on the driver's side. You can use a circuit tester part # PTW2993 to test the vehicle wires for function. The blue and green wires on the Pop and Lock are interchangeable so you do not have to worry about function of those wires. Use the circuit tester to test each red wire one at a time while hitting the unlock and lock button in the vehicle.
Whichever red wire shows power on the circuit tester when hitting the lock button is the wire that attaches to whichever wire you want on the pop and lock system. Now repeat the testing process with the yellow wires. Whichever yellow wire that shows power when you hit the lock and unlock button on the vehicle is the wire that attaches to the Pop and Lock.
I have attached an installation video that shows the installer testing the wires.
