Hubs for Timbren Axle-Less Suspension for Use in Salt Water Environment
Question:
Are there galvanized versions? How would this system hold up to beach launching fishing boats into the saltwater? And being stored in an oceanfront environment where corrosion is the norm? Thanks!

Timbren's axle-less trailer suspension systems like # ASR3500S05 are all made with a heavy powder coat finish but it is possible to select matching galvanized idler hubs like # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K or galvanized hub/drums like # 8-247-50UC3-EZ. Both fit the spindles on this Timbren kit and both have the 5-on-4-1/2 wheel bolt pattern. If you don't mind spending more we also have a stainless steel idler hub from Kodiak, part # KH84545S. All hubs that fit the Timbren kit appear on the linked page.
In addition to selecting hubs that will withstand the salt water environment you'll want to ensure that you keep the hubs well-greased with a suitable marine-grade product like # L54FR.
Whenever possible, rinse the trailer after exposure to salt water.
