Why Isn't a Slider Hitch Needed with Reese Revolution/Sidewinder Pin Box

Question:

Why couldnt you use a short manual slider with a Revolution, just for parking, and then after straightening up before getting on the road, put the slider all the way up so it would ride over the axle?

The big reason you couldn't is that if you slid the hitch back that's attached to the Revolution the arm of the Revolution would hit the truck tailgate. What's even more interesting though is that if you had a Revolution pin box (also known as Sidewinder in aftermarket world) you would not need to use a slider hitch to gain turning clearance as the Revolution would provide you with all of the needed clearance.

I attached a help article that has more info on the Sidewinders for you to check out as well.
