Recommendation for Hitch Mount Ski Carrier and Bike Carrier for 2012 Honda CRV
Question:
Hi, I am trying to determine the best option for a 2012 Honda CRV. I want a trailer hitch solution to carry 4 sets of skis and 4 bikes - but not at the same time. I dont have a trailer hitch yet - so 2inch or 1.24inch solutions will work. Can you help? Thanks

We have a great solution for you to carry both bikes and skis on a hitch mounted carrier.
The bike rack I recommend for you is the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR. This bike rack has a great tilting feature that allows you to access your rear cargo area. It also features Hold Fast cradles with reinforced straps to secure your bike at 3 points, and the anti-sway cages help prevent bike-to-bike contact.
To carry your skis, I recommend the Thule Tram Ski and Snowbard Carrier Adapter # TH9033. This carrier secures to the hitch mounted bike rack, like the Vertex # TH9029XT. Tram can carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. I have also attached a review video of this carrier.
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2012 Honda CR-V is the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C13119. I have attached an installation video of this hitch on a 2012 CR-V for you.
