Expert Reply:
The Pewag Square-Link Snow Tire Chains, part # PWE2228SC, you have referenced, will fit a P265/70R16 tire size. They have a clearance measurement of 18 mm, which means you would need to have 18 mm (3/4 inch) of clearance above the tire and inside the wheel well, between the inner sidewall of the tire and the closest part of the vehicle with the tires fully turned left and right, for these chains to clear on your 1973 Chevrolet Tahoe 2WD. The snow chains are always placed on the main drive wheels of the vehicle.
If you have less than 18 mm of clearance we have the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part # PW2028C, that only require 12 mm (1/2 inch) of clearance. I am including a link to a product page that will list all of the snow tire chains we have that fit a P265/70R16 tire.
You might also want to check your owners manual or with the Chevrolet dealer to see if you are able to use snow tire chains on your 1973 Chevrolet Tahoe 2WD or if there are any limitations.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on snow tire chains.
