Troubleshooting Brake Controller Install of 2015 Ram 1500 without Stoplight Circuit Activation

Question:

Hooking up a brake controller, have power, but cant get the ecm to send brake signal to the controller. Any ideas?

If you are using a brake controller install harness like the part # 3023-P you'd want to first make sure you have the extra red wire connected where it needs to be. Most likely you have done this already but this is the easiest cause to your issue. Sometimes a blown third brake light fuse can cause the stoplight circuit of the brake controller wiring to not function so you should check there as well.
