Should Extra Cradles of Yakima LongHaul 4 Bike Rack # Y02476 be Removed when Carrying 2 Bikes

Can clamps be removed to haul just 2 bikes

If you wanted to carry just two bikes with the Yakima LongHaul 4 Bike Rack # Y02476 you certainly could without removing the extra frame cradles. Easiest way would be to remove the zip straps and anti-sway cradles from the cradles that wouldn't be in use. To get the cradles totally off of the arms would require removing the end caps of the arms which they aren't designed to easily do that. Some people like to buy hanging bike racks like this with more cradles than needed so that they have extra room for their bikes.
