Question:

Greetings, I have a 2017 Montana 3160RL that I would like to convert to Disc Brakes. Dexter Axels, 7000lbs, SN#131108112. Tow Vehicle is 2008 Silverado 3500HD with integrated Trailer Brake controller. Would greatly appreciate you letting me know what parts I need. Thanking you in advance,

Since you have Dexter 7,000 lb axles the Kodiak Disc Brake kit part # K2HR712D is the correct kit. You'd need a kit for each of your axles that you want disc brakes on. This kit is also Dacromet coated which means it will resist corrosion for a very long time. You'll also need bearings part # 25580 and # 14125A as well as the seals part # RG06-070.

Then for an actuator kit with brake lines and everything else you'll need I recommend the HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes # CAR-HBA16-2. This comes with the most reliable and quickest reacting actuator we have as well as a tandem brake line kit and a breakaway kit. Since you have a 2008 Chevy Silverado integrated brake controller you'll also need the adapter kit part # HBA-CAM to allow your controller to activate EOH style brakes like this and you'll be set!
