Would Reese Goose Box for Lippert 1621 Replacement Give Turning Clearance

I have a 2018 Chevy duramax with a short box - will the Reese 94623 allow tight reverse maneuvers without clearance problems?

Goose Boxes fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter like the part RP94623 now part # RP85FR do not give additional turning clearance. For a short bed truck like your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 this would not be an ideal solution as you'll need additional turning clearance like what a slider hitch normally provides.
Best option would be to instead go with a fixed fifth wheel hitch and a Sidewinder like part # RP34FR which fits the same trailer frames as the Goose Box you mentioned but moves the pivot point back 22-1/2 inches to give you the turning clearance needed.
