Locks Compatible with the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter to Factory Ford Pucks
Question:
I just purchased / ordered a fifth wheel rail lock from you, but now I realized that all that is holding my entire hitch system in place is two small pins, on the Demco Puck Adapter. Does Demco make a lock that you can replace the pins with a lock that also prevents the levers from opening, or do you think that any padlock will work for that application?

The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ford OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 25,000 lbs # DM6175 does have the pin quick release that are 0.313 x 1.00 inch. Demco doesn't make a specific part for this to lock it but you can use a padlock with compatible diameter shackle for that application. The Master Lock Covered Solid Body Padlocks - 1/4" Shackle Diameter (2 Pack) # 141T should work well for your application.
