Can HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator be Installed In a Box on Trailer Tongue
Question:
Hello, This looks like a great part. Im considering using it on a flatbed trailer. The only place theres room to mount it vertically is on the tongue, Id like to mount it in a box to protect it from water and debris. Would that be an issue? Would it have to be vented?

You can definitely mount the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # HBA-10 in a box on the tongue of your trailer. I spoke to my contact at HydraStar who confirmed this and said that the box doesn't have to be anything special. The box doesn't need to be vented either.
