Towing Capacity of 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

Question:

Were getting ready to buy our first trailer using a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD v6 3.6L and I cannot find anywhere not even from calling Jeep with my VIN what the GCWR is for my car? This number is 100 not included on the door jamb sticker of my vehicle. Maybe thats only for trucks? I feel like this is an important number? Or, do I just assume this is irrelevant if everything else is within range i.e. towing capacity, GVWR of trailer, hitch weight, payload?

For your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD v6 3.6L you'd just need to stay under the towing capacity of the vehicle which according to my research is 6,200 lbs.

The Curt hitch part # C13182 is the highest rating trailer hitch we offer for your vehicle and it has an overall towing capacity of 6,000 lbs which would be the limit for the trailer weight you could tow with it regardless of if your vehicle has a higher capacity as you are only as strong as the weakest component in your towing setup.
