Automatic Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Short Bed
Question:
2019 Silverado 2500HD Alaskan package. 6.5 bed 6.0 engine. No fifth wheel prep package. Will be towing a 2019 Impact 311 toy hauler. 35 1/2 feet in length. Dry weight is 11,780. Hitch weight is 2,780. Over all weight probably towed will be around 14,000 lbs. I want a auto slider. Which one do you recommend plus need to know everything I will need for complete installation on my truck. Thanks.

The Demco Hijacker Auto Slide fifth wheel hitch part # DM8550034 is the automatic sliding hitch you need to go with for your 2019 Silverado 2500HD short bed. This USA made hitch will hold the king pin of your trailer tightly to provide a smooth ride quality and slides back automatically so you never have to worry about getting out and activating a manual slider. In the review video I attached for this hitch you'll see how well it works.
To install this you'll want the custom install rail kit part # DM8552011-71. This rail kit was specifically designed to fit your truck which means it will minimize drilling and install time. I attached an install video for this kit on a similar truck as your for you to check out as well.
