Installing Power Wire for Tekonsha T-One Harness # 118578 on 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Question:

I have a 2018 Toyota RAV4 hybrid and Im considering adding this harness to the SUV. The Hybrid RAV4 has the 12V engine battery in the back of the car on the drivers side not the Hybrid battery - the Hybrid battery is in the middle-back of the card. There is a battery jump terminal under the hood of the SUV but the main battery is in the back. I assume this should make the installation more simple but I dont see good instructions for the hybrid version. Is the trim removal different? hook up any different? Ive attached a couple of pages from the owners manual that show the location.

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha regarding the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118578 (which is confirmed to fit your Hybrid model RAV4). He said that you will definitely want to connect the power wire to the positive post of the battery at the back of your vehicle. There aren't any specific or alternative instructions with regards to this process but you just want to route the wire back, making sure to avoid any hot areas or spots where the wire might get pinched. You will need to remove the rear panels at the rear cargo area on the RAV4 to access the battery.

The other connections behind the tail lights will be the same as on the standard model RAV4.
