Does WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors Allow Water into Truck
Question:
Hi, I was looking at Item # WT87184, rear window deflectors for a Silverado extended cab. It appears that it sticks on the glass and is mainly for looks. If its just on the glass, what good does it do? Seems like it wouldnt stop water. Do you have one that sticks on the truck itself and covers the window when it opens?

The purpose of the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors # WT87184 is so that you could crack the window while it was raining to allow ventilation without letting the water into the truck cab. It actually sticks to the frame of the door around the window and not to the glass itself. If it was stuck to the glass it would move down with the window which would defeat the purpose. It may not be waterproof but when used as intended water would not get into the truck.
I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.
