To install a brake controller in your 2012 Wrangler Unlimited, you will need a brake controller and the appropriate install kit.
If you do not already have a brake controller, you cannot go wrong with the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This easy to use brake controller is our best seller.
To install a 7-way trailer connector and brake controller, you would need our Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7. The kit contains everything necessary to install your brake controller, including the adapter to convert your existing 4-pole to a 7-way as well as all hardware, wire and circuit breakers. Instructions are included, and I will also link you to a copy for you to look over.
I will also include a link to an install video. The video shows the install kit being used on a different vehicle, but the procedure shown would be very similar to your Wrangler.
