For your 2012 Kia Sorento LX V6 without factory tow package, I recommend the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118506. This wiring harness plugs into the factory wiring behind the taillights, so you will not need to splice into the existing wiring.

Since the wiring harness has a powered converter, the power wire for the converter will need to be attached to the vehicle battery. This powered ModuLite works to reduce the strain on your vehicle's wiring system. The white ground wire will also need to be grounded with the included self-tapping screw.
