Since you already have a working 4-Way wiring harness installed on your 2008 Nissan Frontier you can install a 7-Way and 4-way electric trailer brake controller installation kit, # ETBC7, on your truck by utilizing the wiring you installed. Once completed you will have a working 7-Way RV connector and a working 4-Way connector at the rear of your Frontier.
We have detailed instructions, see link, for installation of this kit, and we have a video that shows the installation of this kit on a 2010 Dodge Nitro. The vehicle is different but the wiring principle is the same.
If you need a brake controller for towing a trailer with electric brakes, I recommend the easy to use and setup, Prodigy P2 brake controller, # 90885.
