Do you remove e coating on rotor face before installing pads

No, the brake pads will remove the amount of E-coat as needed when the Kodiak 13" Hub and Rotor # KHR13858E is in use. This route allows only the amount of raw metal that the pads can keep free from rust to ever be exposed.
