Can the 66 Inch Crossbars Be Upgraded To 78 Inch Crossbars on the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer
Question:
I would like to expand the space on my Rack and Roll by replacing with 78 inch bar, not necessarily to increase the weight of the cargo I generally put two kayaks and two bike on trailer - I would just like to have more room? Is this a problem?

I do not see any issues upgrading the 66" long round crossbars on the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer part # Y08106 to use 78" long round crossbars like the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer part # Y08107. In order to do this all you will need is the Round 78" CrossBars for Yakima part # Y00411. This is currently the longest round crossbar you can get for the Rack and Roll because their are special lighting requirements for trailers over 80" wide.
