If your 2006 Ford F-250 is a 4x4 then it would be best to put the ladder pattern chains, like part # TC2828, on the rear axle and the diamond pattern chains, like part # TH01594267, on the front axle. This is due to the reduced clearance that front tires normally have.
I do recommend using the same type of tire chains though if you have AWD enabled on your pickup. This will give you a more consistent tread pattern which, in turn, will give you a better driving experience.
Please note that in the online version of your owner's manual it states to only use chains on the rear tires if you have 20" or larger wheels. I recommend checking your copy of the owner's manual to verify this.
