Largest Tire Size Available to Replace 4.80-12

I have a 5x8 5 with 4 80 12. How large of a tire can I put on it? Thanks

The largest tire size you can fit on the rim you current have that has a 4.80-12 tire is going to be the size 5.30-12 like the part # TT53012C from Taskmaster. This has a capacity of 1,050-lb max load at 80 psi and has a speed rating of 81 mph too which is nice. This tire has a section width of 5.39 inches and an overall diameter of 21.57 inches.
Generally speaking you will want to have 3 inches from the top of your tire to the fender of your trailer to accommodate for suspension travel. Having a little more wouldn't hurt, but I wouldn't recommend any less than 3 inches.
