Derale Reducer Bushing Compatibility with Plastic Water Tubing and Compression Fitting

Question:

Is the 1/2inch side a short reach? I need to seat the plastic type water tubing into this fitting. The tubing i have uses a taper seal toward the end of the tubing. it must be seated when tightened or it will leak. if need be, i can take it apart to send i photo. any help is appreciated. material type must handle pressures to at least 140.

The Derale 1/2" Male x 3/8" Female Reducer Bushing # D98452 will allow you to use the fitting with thread seal tape # A05-0265 to help with the threading of the bushing as well as the compression fitting you pictured and referenced. The brass fitting will have absolutely no issues with 140 psi pressure you mentioned. This fitting is a short reach as the threading is only through part of the interior so minimal trimming if any will be required for your fit.
