Troubleshooting Truck with 6-Way Not Recognizing Trailer Brakes

Question:

Question is I have a 2018 gooseneck trailer lights work great but my truck doesn’t recognize the brakes. I hooked my truxk to a friends gooseneck and brake system worked good and hooked the wife’s truck to my gooseneck and brakes worked but when I hook my truck to my gooseneck I don’t need have brakes. Thank you

Since it's a gooseneck trailer you most likely are using 6-way trailer wiring as that's the standard for that style of trailer. The interesting thing about 6-ways is that there is two different ways they can be wired with the only difference being the brake output circuit and 12 volt power circuit being swapped. So what I would recommend you do is swap the wires that run to center pin and the 10:00 of your 6-way and the brake controller should recognize the trailer.
