Recommended Carrier for a Genuine Buddy 150 Scooter for Use on a Motorhome
Question:
I have a Thor Compass motorhome and want to carry a Genuine Buddy 150 scooter on a carrier. The tilting carrier looks great and it looks “easy” to lift, but I’m a 60 year old woman loading it myself. I want a carrier that is a solid surface on both parts of it. What do you recommend?

The Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033 is exactly what you are looking for! The top try stays still and you simply place the ramp at one end when you go to load your Genuine Buddy 150 scooter.
Even though this carrier can be used for scooters and is rated for use on a motorhome there are a few thing to watch out for. The first is the angle that the carrier will sit due to the height of the receiver on your motorhome. The ramp length is 39" so if you take a piece of wood (or something that is straight like the ramp) it will give you an idea if the bottom of your scooter will scrape the ramp when you are loading/unloading it.
The other thing to note is that your scooter must be evenly distributed when it comes to weight. If the back end is heavier than the front end then this can cause the carrier to twist in the receiver. As long as all of this works out for you then this is an excellent option!
I do recommend using the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 as well to not only help stabilize the carrier but to also lock it to your trailer hitch for security.
