Recommended Wiring Harness for Electric Trailer Brake Controller on 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
I have a 4 door 2018 Jeep JL with factory installed tow package that has a 4 pin trailer brake connector under the drivers side dash. Does this part# come with the direct plug in play connector for the 2018 Jeep JL with factory tow package? In other words it plugs into the connector under the dash without any splicing of wires or redneck engineering.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR you asked from is an excellent option for your 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL. There is not a factory plug for your controller under the dash, so you will need to hardwire it and I recommend using the wiring kit # ETBC7. This will give us the 7-way connector, the wire needed, as well as the circuit breakers to ensure a correct fit.
I've attached the installation video for this controller as well as another controller on a different model year so you can see how to run the wires for this application. I've also attached an article with diagram to assist.
