Recommended Way to Allow Backing Horse Trailer Up with 2019 Ford F-450 to be Easier
Question:
One of the challenges of backing a horse trailer at night is overcoming the reflection off the trailer of the trucks backup lights. The reflection makes it difficult to see past the reflection and the front of the trailer. Ive asked our local trailer repair shop about running the backup lights through the up fitter switch in the cab, but they are uncertain how involved that process might be. Suggestions?

What I would recommend is a backup camera installed at the rear of your horse trailer that has night vision so that you can see what's beyond the glare and the trailer you mentioned. For that the Furrion RV Observation Camera System w/ Monitor and Bracket # FOS05TASF is what I recommend. You can wire the activation circuit on your horse trailer to be a reverse light circuit (if available) or the running light circuit and the wireless signal will transmit easily to the monitor in your cab.
We wouldn't have enough experience with a brand new Ford truck to tell you how difficult it would be to tap into the wiring of the reverse lights.

Is this camera able to stay on while driving in order to detect blind spots from either the left lane or the right lane? Does the screen come with a toggle switch in order to switch from the left lane and into the right lane? Would I need to buy a second camera?
