What is Typical Suspension Deflection for Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
What is the general deflection value will be considered while designing trailer with tandem axle, if it is varying with respect to load please mention that also. Thanks in advance. Regards,

The typical spring deflection for leaf springs on a trailer is up to 1-1/2 inches when at capacity.
The recommended clearance with leaf spring suspension on an unloaded trailer is between 2 - 2-1/2 inches between the axle and the frame. You would want an additional 3 inches beyond deflection for maximum bump clearance for fenders and would want 4.5 inches of clearance at the unloaded ride height for fenders.
