Tire Chain Recommendation for Mountain Driving with a Chevy Suburban and 265/70R17 Tires
Question:
What kind of chains do i need to ride up a mountain ski resort? I drive a Suburban with tire size: P265/70 R17

Expert Reply:
The chains I recommend for your Chevy Suburban with 265/70R17 tires are the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains, # PWE2228SC. Square link chains provide the best traction which would be great for use in the mountains. The chains are corrosion resistant and you tighten them using cam tighteners which makes installation and adjustment easy.
Make sure that you consult the vehicle owners manual to determine if chains can be used and for any specific restrictions or recommendations. I have included a link to our tire chain FAQ article for you.
