Engine Block Heater fit for 2015 Kia Optima with 2.4L Engine
Question:
I want to install an engine block heater in a 2015 Kia Optima with 2.4l engine. I think the correct heater is the KH11812. Is that correct? Also, I saw on the Kats website they recommend using NSCG G624 silicone grease when installing it. I have not been able to find any of that grease but have found other silicone dielectric grease. Is it OK to use a different grease? I have some Permatex 22058 grease, but I want to know if that is ok to use. Thank you.

You are correct that the Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater # KH11812 is a fit for your 2015 Kia Optima with a 2.4L engine. It will be installed in the "2nd RR" position as you can see by the accompanying photo of the directions I cut out for you.
In terms of the grease, you should only use what was recommended by the manufacturer. If you use the term "G624" in a search engine you should be able to find this grease pretty quickly.
